The carpet is hand woven by Tibetan Refugees living in Darjeeling, India. The beautiful design of Dragon and Phoenix can be seen in the center of the carpet.
It takes 2 to 3 months to complete one carpet making process.

In Tibetan, culture Dragon is symbolized as the protector and Phoenix is also an immortal bird whose rare appearances signify the peace and prosperity, especially a new ruler ascent to the throne.
It never old or dies, belongs to the fire in Five Elements. It is said that phoenix nirvana and rebirth out of ash, symbolize the constant striving spirit.
Dragon and Phoenix together were regarded as the most sacred animals and used to be emblems of emperor and empress.
